Because the sexual response is an ingenious but complicated modular system, dysfunctions can arise at all levels and or in interaction between two or more modalities. Here we discuss successively sexual dysfunction of:
- the sexual respons in toto
- sexual desire: reduced sexual desire, sexual aversion, hyper sexuality (excessive sexual desire)
- sexual arousal, genital arousal disorders, sexual arousal disorders
- orgasm: orgasm disorders, anhedonic orgasm
- dyspareunia (chronic)
- vaginismus
