x.3.2.2.3 Clitoris

In contrast to what was thought earlier, the clitoris is not a small knot. In fact it is a relatively large pyramid-shaped erectile system, which not only has a glans and a preputium but is also richly innervated and has a rich blood supply. In terms of embryology, the clitoris corresponds to the penis; both develop from the tuberculum genitalis.
